THE TENSION

We are living in times of poor connection between humans and nature. Somehow people forgot that there is no such thing as humans controlling and domaining nature, we are one solid organism. All nature patterns are cyclic and interconnected. We are a living chain.
The climate change is upon all of us, 70% of the American population believes in it, but only 57% think that Global warming is caused mostly by human activities, says The Center for Climate Change Communication from George Mason University. We are responsible for the caused damaged, but we are also the ones that can save and change the Earth destiny.
Consumption of products and food has become a key factor to regulate and reduce the impacts in energy, water, natural recourses use and reduce waste. The constructions, remodeling, landscaping and interior decorations can increase tremendously our carbon footprint. We need to find a new and simple way of sustainable living that reconnect us with nature in our ordinary life and homes.
DEFINITION

FLOW
“ A movement in one direction”,
“Flow is the mental state of being completely immersed in an activity”
“In positive psychology, a flow state, also known colloquially as being in the zone, is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting loss in one's sense of space and time.”
SUSTAINABLE LIVING
“Sustainable living describes a lifestyle that attempts to reduce an individual's or society's use of the Earth's natural resources, and one's personal resources. Its practitioners often attempt to reduce their carbon footprint by altering their methods of transportation, energy consumption, and/or diet.”
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
“Sustainable development can be classified as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations”.
SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION
As a complement to analyses of production and its
processes, Sustainable Consumption (SC) is the study of resource and energy use (domestic or otherwise). As the term sustainability would imply, those who study SC seek to apply the concept of “continuance”—the capacity to meet both present and future human generational needs.[1][2] SC, then, would also include analyses of efficiency, infrastructure, and waste, as well as access to basic services, green and decent jobs and a better quality of life for all.[3] It shares a number of common features and is closely linked to the term sustainable
production and sustainable development. Sustainable consumption as part of sustainable development is a prerequisite in the worldwide struggle against sustainability challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, famines or environmental pollution.
LIVIN FLOW DESIGN CO
Brings a proposal to merge all subjects mentioned (flow, sustainable living, sustainable development, and sustainable consumption) in one company that will design the homes for the future and present generation.
Creating an unique biophilic design that has a flow between the interior and exterior environment, reconnecting humans and nature. We believe that there is always space to improve how design and construction is done, we want to bring some of the know-how of Greenbuilding / sustainable certification to help you have a home or a business that is in balance with the Triple Bottom Line (People, Planet, Profit).
